Vámonos a México, amigos! For the month of June, we'll be traveling to Mexico! At the Hollywood Library, we'll spend the summer traveling the globe...from the comfort of our very own library!

Children are invited to join us for a read-along story time and activity to celebrate the annual Juneteenth National Independence Day.

Come to the Cordova Branch Library to meet local children's author Angela Guthrie.  Listen as she reads her book, then stay for a related craft activity.  For ages 5-12 and no registration is needed.

Free chess tutorials for all ages. Beginners are invited to learn to play, and veterans are welcome to challenge each other to a friendly match of strategy and tactics. For this event we will meet in our main lobby behind the escalators.

Connect Crew will offer storytime to children while they wait to get their haircut. We will have several exciting stories to share! This program is in partnership with B.L.O.C. Squad Memphis Better Lives Opportunity Community.

Come join us at the Cordova Library Teen Center for our annual Super Smash Brothers Ultimate tournament.  Can you be the ultimate fighter?  Prize to the winner.  (only base game characters no DLC)

Lights! Camera! Action! Join us at the Hollywood Library for an afternoon of film fun! 

Come to the Cordova Branch Library to learn about Indian cooking and dance.  See traditional dances and sample yummy food!  For all ages and no registration is needed.

Celebrate the community of Whitehaven as local businesses and organizations are hosted both inside and outside the library.  Food, music and games will all be offered as we celebrate the local people and groups that make our community great.

Every 4th Saturday, from 1-4 p.m., Mr. James Williams of Sowing Seeds Enterprises will offer free haircuts to our patrons. Patrons must be between the ages of 3-17 in order to take part in this event.
 

Do you want to learn how to look and feel good while also taking care of your health and well-being?

Come and view the award-winning eight-part docu-series "High on the Hog: How African American Cuisine Transformed America." We will then sample cuisines mentioned in the film. Every Monday in June and July.

Do you like building Legos and like a challenge? Join us at the library for a Lego party! Build Legos with friends and try to complete the different Lego challenges we have in store. 

Young chefs will get an opportunity to enjoy this 5-day cooking camp. They will have hands-on fun with creating healthy recipes. 

Try your hand at making a couple different types of robots using simple materials to see which ones move the fastest.
