Join us at the East Shelby Library for a movie day every other Saturday from 3-5 PM. What adventures will you experience that day? You'll have to come see the movie to find out!

Our first official summer program will be a visit with a Tennessee State Park ranger who will be showing off a collection of bones from local animals!

Join us as we have an incredible story time with our favorite library pup Lovie! Lovie absolutely loves story time, and she loves it so much more when she can share it with all of her friends!

Are you interested in learning how to code? We have just the class for you! Calling all tweens and teens between ages 12-16 let's learn how to code with CodeCrafters.

Kids can come to their Randolph Branch Library after school on Mondays and utilize their creativity with craft making!

Tweens and young teens are invited to learn the basics of crochet and discuss the possibility of meeting monthly. One crochet hook per attendee will be offered, along with a small selection of yarn. Just bring yourself!

Free chess tutorials for all ages. Beginners are invited to learn to play, and veterans are welcome to challenge each other to a friendly match of strategy and tactics. For this event we will meet in our main lobby behind the escalators.

Join us each Tuesday evening in May for 'open play' pickleball on our three courts here at the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library parking lot! We have balls and paddles for folks to use, or feel free to bring your own. No registration required!

May is National Pets Month.  Come to the Cordova Branch Library to celebrate your pet!  Share stories and snacks.  Draw a picture of your pet (or the pet you'd like to have), and then decorate a frame to put your drawing in.

Saturday, May 25th- Today, children ages 8-13 and their caregivers will learn how to make their own custom tacos with Chef Chasidy from 5 Senses Farming Agriculture and Culinary Arts Program. Attendees must register, limit 10.

Every 4th Saturday, from 1-4 p.m., Mr. James Williams of Sowing Seeds Enterprises will offer free haircuts to our patrons. Patrons must be between the ages of 3-17 in order to take part in this event.
 

The Frayser Branch library presents a Spring Art Workshop for Children.

Use those logical thinking skills and make a marshmallow catapult to fling a marshmallow across the room! Join Mr. Tim Roberts from the Tennessee Ag Extension office to put your STEM skills to work!

Tween Zone is a chance for tweens ages 10-12 to chill out after school. Need to give your mind a break? Stop by the children's department to create art, play games, and chill.
