Come to the Cordova Branch Library to meet local children's author Angela Guthrie.  Listen as she reads her book, then stay for a related craft activity.  For ages 5-12 and no registration is needed.

Free chess tutorials for all ages. Beginners are invited to learn to play, and veterans are welcome to challenge each other to a friendly match of strategy and tactics. For this event we will meet in our main lobby behind the escalators.

Lights! Camera! Action! Join us at the Hollywood Library for an afternoon of film fun! 

Come to the Cordova Branch Library to learn about Indian cooking and dance.  See traditional dances and sample yummy food!  For all ages and no registration is needed.

Family storytimes are a great opportunity for children and caretakers to come together, hear stories, sing songs, and work together on crafts or other activities. Dragons have been part of stories about adventures for hundreds of years.

ABC24 and MPL team up to encourage children, pre-school thru 3rd grade, to read during the summer. Children will engage in fun activities during this journalistic story time.

Celebrate the community of Whitehaven as local businesses and organizations are hosted both inside and outside the library.  Food, music and games will all be offered as we celebrate the local people and groups that make our community great.

Please join us Saturday afternoons for children's craft time at Cossitt Library. We will have a guided craft, but also will provide supplies for artistic free play. Come get crafty with us!

Every 4th Saturday, from 1-4 p.m., Mr. James Williams of Sowing Seeds Enterprises will offer free haircuts to our patrons. Patrons must be between the ages of 3-17 in order to take part in this event.
 

Bring the family to storytime to explore stories and facts, shake your sillies out, sing and rhyme together, and more! 

This storytime occurs on Mondays at 11:00 a.m.

Reading is an adventure, join us on one at Hollywood Library! During the afternoons, we'll have a selection of books to choose from! Ask a librarian to read or share center stage to read with your new friends.

Come and view the award-winning eight-part docu-series "High on the Hog: How African American Cuisine Transformed America." We will then sample cuisines mentioned in the film. Every Monday in June and July.

Young chefs will get an opportunity to enjoy this 5-day cooking camp. They will have hands-on fun with creating healthy recipes.
