Find your Favorite Book Characters! 

Children will have the opportunity to read with others to increase literacy.  The children will be using the concept of DiscoverRead and work with some of the components of reading, writing, talking, singing and playing.

Please join us for a special program with The Dixon's Art to Grow Program! 

Participants ages 8-12 are invited to learn about art then create their own masterpiece to take home. 

An hour full of crafts and games at the Cherokee Library.  A different activity will be presented each week.  Registration recommended, but not required.

Healthy Cooking Matters For Children is a four-session series designed to provide hands-on learning experiences through recipe preparation and encourage positive behavior change among youth participants. 

Come to the Cordova Branch Library to paint your own t-shirt.  Please bring your own t-shirt, we'll have the paint, the brushes and more.

For ages 5-12 and no registration is needed.

Free chess tutorials for all ages. Beginners are invited to learn to play, and veterans are welcome to challenge each other to a friendly match of strategy and tactics. For this event we will meet in our main lobby behind the escalators.

Under the Sea Storytime and Craft! 

Children will have the opportunity to make slime using glue.

Wednesdays are Wonderful at Parkway Village. Join us ever Wednesday this summer for an array of games, activities, crafts, movies and so much more!

School is out, but learning is always in! Join us in playing a fun game of sight word hopscotch. Don't step on the line, lose your balance, or forget the sight word. See you there.

🎉 Join us at Hollywood for Day of Play! Every Thursday, we'll have an activity full of fun, creativity, and adventure!

Decorate ping pong balls and then see the light shine through them as you make your own ping pong ball lantern! 

Come to the Cordova Branch Library to learn to crochet!  Staff member Kellea will teach all kids, tweens and teens how to do easy crochet stitches and projects.  Yarn and needles provided.

Family storytimes are a great opportunity for children and caretakers to come together, hear stories, sing songs, and work together on crafts or other activities. Dancing is a great way to move and express ourselves.

Come to the Cordova Branch Library for the Firecracker Chess Tournament.  Open to all young players.  Registration begins at 11:00.  Games to start soon after.  Trophies for the winner and prizes for all contestants.

Rainbow Family Story Time is a space to celebrate love and community, and will feature stories, songs, crafts, and more!
