SCORE offers small business assistance through seminars hosted at the Memphis Public Library. They also provide one-on-one mentorship for those looking to start a small business.

Join our weekly Zumba fitness class. It's an excellent workout that will allow you to burn calories while having fun. It will also strengthen your muscles and improve flexibility. Please plan to be on time.

Techy Seniors – Phone Basics

Learn the basic functions of smart phones and tablets. Participants will explore settings, and learn the following basic functions:

United Way of the Mid-South will be offering free tax preparation.  Walk-ins are welcome.  Dial 2-1-1 for more information or call 844-444-4211 during normal business hours, Monday-Friday.

Join us for two-hours of casual chess. Players of all levels and ages welcome. Participation is first come, first served as space allows.

Walk a mile and get a free book! We are going to walk from the library entrance, complete the walking path around the Bert Ferguson community center (approx. 1 mile), and return to the library.

Cherokee crochet club meeting!  Free yarn to beginners! 

Bring your own crochet hook, sized G, H, I, or J. Free Lessons! If you already know how to crochet, come to show us what you've been making and what you're working on.

Participants will make a personalized accordion-style genealogy book using a variety of materials like photos, collage elements, ephemera, and family artifacts. The pages can be used for photos, stories and text, and documents.

The Raleigh Library Community Photography Club is a monthly meet-up designed to connect aspiring and experienced photographers of all ages through themed photo challenges, skill-building sessions, and community-focused storytelling.

Learn Spanish for free in this beginner-friendly class for adults! Instructional materials provided at the start of every class. No registration needed.

For movie lovers and book lovers alike: have you ever had a book you've been wanting to read be made into a movie, only you want to read it before you watch it?

Join us for a February book club discussion on history, friendship, love, and honor.

Bring your tablet, laptop, or smart device and receive one-on-one technical assistance in accessing the Library’s digital services.  This is not a formal class and customers receive assistance on a first-come first-served basis.  

The only objective is to put words on paper! Think of this as a NaNoWriMo "write-in," but for those of us who need longer than a year to write a book! Bring a writing project to work on, or start something new. All skill levels welcome.

This monthly class series will explore important topics related to 3D printing, including demonstrations on how to use the machine, discussion about the purpose and history of 3D printing, and how to find or create 3D models to print.
