Come join us at the East Shelby Library Branch to work on your current knitting or crochet project with fellow artists in the Memphis area! Make connections with and learn new tricks and tips from other local artists. 

Chill Club at Orange Mound Library is the perfect way to chill out after a long day at school.  Enjoy a snack and choose how you'd like to spend your time.

Techy Seniors – Phone Basics

Learn the basic functions of smart phones and tablets. Participants will explore settings, and learn the following basic functions:

Love gardening? So do we! Join the Orange Mound Garden Club (OMGC) and connect with fellow plant lovers. Whether you’ve got extra plants, cuttings, or seeds to share, or just want to chat about all things green, this is the place for you.

Walk a mile and get a free book! We are going to walk from the library entrance, complete the walking path around the Bert Ferguson community center (approx. 1 mile), and return to the library.

Are you a fan of the classics like Astro Boy and Speed Racer? Maybe the Golden Age of the 80s and 90s like Voltron and Dragon Ball Z are more your vibe! Or you may be a part of the new school era of shonen with Naruto and My Hero Academia.

Join us at the East Shelby Library for a movie day every other Saturday from 3-5 PM. What adventures will you experience that day? You'll have to come see the movie to find out!

Joseph Oliver and a variety of skilled professionals conduct weekly classes with customers participating in hands-on repair and learning exercises. Participants will be exposed to the basics of electricity and electronics theory and repair.

The only objective is to put words on paper! Think of this as a NaNoWriMo "write-in," but for those of us who need longer than a year to write a book! Bring a writing project to work on, or start something new. All skill levels welcome.

A beginning Spanish class designed for students that have no familiarity with the language. Registration not necessary and we can start you with our beginners group and work you up to our advanced group.

Connect Crew will be hosting a family storytime event at the Memphis Zoo! The storytime and animal meet & greet program will be held at the Wild Encounter location. The storytime event will occur during the zoo's Free TN Tuesday hours.

Come join us in excavating the chocolate chips out of cookies! Cookies and toothpicks will be provided. 

Need assistance with your phone, computer or tablet? Come to Whitehaven on 2nd and 4th Tuesdays from 6pm to 7pm for tech help with:

Free chess tutorials for all ages. Beginners are invited to learn to play, and veterans are welcome to challenge each other to a friendly match of strategy and tactics. For this event we will meet in our main lobby behind the escalators.
