When Marian Sang is a picture book biography centered on the life of Marian Anderson, the groundbreaking contralto who became the first Black opera singer to perform a principal role at the Metropolitan Opera in 1955.

Story time will consist of a fun interactive story using the components of DiscoverRead.  The children will be reading, talking, writing, singing and playing.

The only objective is to put words on paper! Think of this as a NaNoWriMo "write-in," but for those of us who need longer than a year to write a book! Bring a writing project to work on, or start something new. All skill levels welcome.
