Teens Writing Club is a writing space for young writers and aspiring authors to be surrounded by and collaborate with other young writers as they work on their own projects.

Artist Violet Newborn will engage children ages 4 and 5 with recognizing, thinkings and talking about emotions through painting.  Children must be accompanied by an adult to participate in the program.

Come to the Cordova Branch Library to meet local children's author Becky Thomas.  Listen to her read her new book.  Then stay for crafts and snacks.  For ages 5-12 and no registration is needed.

This 4-part series will take on the natural, visual, non-spoken language with its own distinct grammatical structure. Shape, movements, and location of the hands, facial expressions and body will be utilized for communicating.
