United Way's IRS-certified volunteers provide FREE basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals.

Customers are welcome to get their taxes done, free of charge, with the help of professionals at United Way of the Mid-South. 

Join teaching artist B.J. Foster for this 5-week course and have fun transforming old books into pieces of art. Participants learn to follow a folding pattern creating a visually interesting three-dimensional image.

The goal of this program is to raise awareness about high blood pressure, especially among those in historically under-resourced communities where people face health-related disparities related to heart disease and stroke.

This class will be for adults ages 18 and up. 

The students will learn or sharpen the following skills:

Discover the fascinating connection between music and math in this engaging 4-session class. Participants will explore the basics of piano playing while learning how mathematical concepts like patterns, intervals, and sequences shape music.

Participate in a yoga experience to stretch the body and soothe the mind.

Free chess tutorials for all ages. Beginners are invited to learn to play, and veterans are welcome to challenge each other to a friendly match of strategy and tactics. For this event we will meet in our main lobby behind the escalators.
