Come join us for story time appropriate for the youngest children! No groups please.

Come and join us for a super cool story time! 

Children will have the opportunity to read with others to increase literacy.  The children will be using the concept of DiscoverRead and work with some of the components of reading, writing, talking, singing and playing.

Come to the Cordova Branch Library for Baby Storytime.  Share stories and songs and bubbles.

This week's theme - Lions & Tigers & Leopards, oh My!

No registration is needed.

Let's make a balloon lantern! On the first day of this workshop, you'll make a lantern using a balloon, tissue paper, and lots of glue! The next day, come back and apply decorations and a final layer of tissue paper and glue.

Little ones will explore a world of color and patterns with their homemade kaleidoscopes! 

All Pre-K Projects will also include a read-aloud story related to the project.  

Children will be introduced to art, providing them with the opportunity explore their creative talents.

Come to the Cordova Branch Library to meet Children's Author Sarai Vaughn.  Hear her read her new book and talk about the writing experience.  Then stay to make your own book.

For ages 5-12 and no registration is needed.

Free chess tutorials for all ages. Beginners are invited to learn to play, and veterans are welcome to challenge each other to a friendly match of strategy and tactics. For this event we will meet in our main lobby behind the escalators.
