Celebrate freedom and Black history with a special Juneteenth Story Time at the library! Join us for an engaging story that honors this important day, perfect for young learners. 

Teens and tweens are invited to attend a cooking class to learn how to prepare quick and unique meals. This class will be a fun and rewarding experience. Lauren C.

Join us for a fun, educational Juneteenth storytime! We will learn about this historical holiday, read some empowering stories, explore some of the ways people celebrate Juneteenth, and create our own Juneteenth flag!

An hour full of crafts and games at the Cherokee Library! A different activity will be presented each week. Registration encouraged but not required.

Healthy Cooking Matters For Children is a four-session series designed to provide hands-on learning experiences through recipe preparation and encourage positive behavior change among youth participants.

African crafts—beading, weaving, carving, metalwork, pottery—are deeply rooted in cultural traditions, serving as a means of storytelling, preserving heritage, and celebrating community.

Free chess tutorials for all ages. Beginners are invited to learn to play, and veterans are welcome to challenge each other to a friendly match of strategy and tactics. For this event we will meet in our main lobby behind the escalators.
