Program Description

Event Details

Memphis Voices: Our Stories, Our City is a monthly, in-person storytelling series hosted at Cossitt Library as part of the Innovator in Residence podcast programming. This series invites the public to gather, share, and record authentic Memphis stories consisting of personal memories, cultural moments, family legacies, neighborhood history, triumphs, and turning points.

Each session will have a theme and serves as both a community storytelling experience and a live recording opportunity, with select stories curated and produced for the launch of an upcoming Memphis-based podcast dedicated to preserving the city’s voices and lived experiences.

This is Memphis telling Memphis; unfiltered, multigenerational, and rooted in truth.

This session was created and led by Ena Esco, Innovator-In-Residence at Cossitt Library.
